Tim Laferla-Physio
BSc (Physiotherapy)
Tim joins us
having recently graduated from Curtin University. Tim's background
is in the management of sporting injuries having worked in the WAFL
with East Perth Football Club for the past 2 years. Tim brings an
excellent knowledge of sports injury treatment and rehabilitation
to Mead Street Physiotherapy.
As well as a keen interest in sporting injuries and
rehabilitation, Tim also has a strong interest in paediatric
physiotherapy. As a student Tim completed multiple placements at
Princess Margaret Hospital and Therapy Focus. Tim has a special
interest and experience in treating childhood rheumatologic
conditions such as Juvenile Arthritis and Hypermobility Syndromes.
Tim is also a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
Paediatric special interest group so is always up to date with the
latest evidenced-based physiotherapy techniques.
Outside of physiotherapy Tim enjoys long distance running and is
currently training to complete a marathon in 2012. He also enjoys
music, playing guitar and drums.
